Vocal Part: TenorCory was born in Murray, KY, to Bobby and Shirley Martin. He has an older sister, Janie, who has given him a brother-in-law, Matt, and two nieces, Tabitha and Hastings. His family has always encouraged his musical ventures. Cory is a 1997 graduate of Murray High School. He was involved in band, choir and his youth group during his high school years. He is also a 2001 graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He was an intern for the Campus Ministry and was involved in the music department there. He was also a member of a gospel quartet: the Aca-fellas. In May of 2002, Cory was blessed with the opportunity to be a back-up singer for Acappella. Traveling the country for a year, he was able to see many different places while spreading the love of Christ. Cory now lives in Franklin, TN. "It's cliche, but God really is in control and I'm along for the ride. He has chosen to bless me with musical ability and an opportunity to share that gift with others. I'm excited and humbled to be able to encourage the Body of Christ through song." |
