Vocal Part: Vocal Percussionist/tenor

Nick Gaultney was born in Midland, Texas, to Kent and Connie Gaultney. He has a younger sister, Becca, and has always been close to his family. “My mother was always active in music in one way or another and she encouraged me and my sister to join her. That brought the three of us together. From an early age, I went hunting quite a bit with my father. I really value this time spent with my father through the years.”

Nick is a 2000 graduate of Midland Christian School where he participated in chorus and golf. He was also active in the church youth group, where he was a member of a male quintet his senior year of high school.

In 2004, he graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a degree in biology. He spent his four years there as a member of Best Friends, a contemporary Christian vocal group. He also spent one summer on the road with the male members of Best Friends in a group called Legacy.

Shortly after graduation, Nick married his beautiful high school sweetheart, Susan. “Susan has been an outstanding support and encouragement to me through the past several years. I love her so much and am blessed so richly to have her in my life.” Nick and Susan now live in Nashville, Tenn., and are very excited to be a part of Vocal Union.

“I am so excited to serve the Lord with the musical gift that He alone has given me. I pray that God continues to touch countless lives with this ministry.”
